After a few meetings, the Ebow team was bold enough to suggest a complete overhaul from the ground up including a name change. Crazy scary as a small business taking on big players, in a crowded category, that we had somehow managed to find a place in. But they recognised that any investment in marketing would have been wasted without getting the branding right first. While other agencies might have simply taken our money to deliver a generic campaign, Ebow provided a vision that resonated with who we are and who we knew we could be.
The process was so, so fun and I was blown away by every presentation. Nikki was a real legend and embraced all our mad ideas and references – distilling them into a singular, impactful vision with the most insanely talented design team at her disposal. We have so much more life, vibrancy and fun in what we do as a result.
They have taken us to another level: from only OK to HOLY F*CKEN SH*T. WOW.
The response at the Dublin Coffee Festival where we first showed off our new identity confirmed we made the right choice… even customers who were long-term attached to our old branding were incredibly impressed and could see we had made a big step up.
We can’t wait to continue growing our relationship with the team and seeing where this project takes us.”
Branding FAQs
- What does a branding agency do? open table
-
A branding agency helps organisations define how they want to be understood and experienced. That can include research, strategy, positioning, naming, messaging, visual identity, tone of voice, guidelines and the application of the brand across digital and physical touchpoints.
- What's the difference between a brand and a logo? open table
-
A topic close to our hearts!
A logo is one element of a brand’s visual identity. Your brand is much broader: it’s the collection of ideas, associations and experiences that influence what people think and feel about your organisation.
- How much does branding cost? open table
-
The cost depends on the scope and complexity of the project. Creating an identity for a new organisation is very different from repositioning a large established brand with multiple audiences and stakeholders. We scope branding projects around what the organisation actually needs.
- How long does a branding project take? open table
-
It depends on the project, but branding typically moves through research and discovery, strategy, creative development, refinement, application and launch. We agree a clear process and programme at the beginning.
- Do we need to change our name or logo when rebranding? open table
-
Not necessarily. Rebranding can mean anything from refining positioning and messaging to creating an entirely new identity. We first establish what is valuable in the existing brand before deciding what should change.
- Can you refresh our existing brand rather than completely rebrand it? open table
-
Yes. Sometimes the strongest approach is evolution rather than revolution. We can retain valuable existing brand equity while making the identity, messaging and digital experience more relevant and distinctive.
- Do you also build websites for the brands you create? open table
-
Yes. Brand and digital work particularly well together because we can consider how the identity will actually behave online while we’re creating it. Our web design, development, content, SEO and digital marketing teams can take the brand from strategy through to implementation.
- How do you make sure our new brand works across digital channels? open table
-
Digital is considered throughout our branding process rather than treated as a later adaptation, we are a digital first agency. We consider websites, mobile, social, content, search, advertising and other digital environments when developing the identity and brand system.
