WORDS ON THE WAVES: A celebration of RadioMoLI, Ireland’s literature channel, in collaboration with Ebow Digital

12/11/25

The Museum of Literature Ireland (MoLI) is beautiful at any time of the year, but on the night of our Radio MoLI celebration, it felt extra special. With soft music, warm voices, and words flowing like water, it was the perfect setting to celebrate Ebow’s sponsorship of Radio MoLI.

Several clients and friends of Ebow attended to support us on the night. Guests gathered in MoLI’s stunning Riverrun of Language room on Thursday, 25th September, for an evening that combined creativity, conversation, and connection. The event featured live music from Julia Spanu, who, accompanied by a harpist, sang songs that explored the theme of water. Their performances during the evening set a tone of joy, warmth and reflection throughout the night.

Museum Director David Cleary opened the evening, followed by a talk from our very own David Douglas, Managing Director and Founder of Ebow.

Dave spoke about why this partnership matters to Ebow. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ebow worked closely with the HSE to develop a public information campaign for social media regarding COVID-19 vaccinations. We saw firsthand how trust in information was shaken and misinformation spread as fast as the virus itself. Our messaging for the HSE focused on rebuilding that trust.

He spoke of the pandemic years — how truth fractured, and how storytelling might help stitch it back together.

“Truth became subjective, and alternative facts became an everyday phrase. Supporting Radio MoLI felt like a way to give something back; it felt so important to our team to invest in a platform built on truth, creativity, and the shared human experience. Misinformation may not be something one organisation can cure, but platforms like Radio MoLI can help.”

Following his words, Sinéad Clandillon, our Director of Content, chaired a fascinating discussion on Digital Storytelling with three leading voices in audio and narrative: Jennifer Forde, award-winning producer and co-creator of the West Cork podcast; Zoë Comyns, RTÉ broadcaster and creator of We Are the Prompt; and Benedict Schlepper-Connolly, MoLI’s Head of Exhibitions, Digital & Programming. Together, they explored how stories are told in a digital world and how truth, creativity, and emotion still anchor the best ones.

The evening concluded with Henrietta McKervey’s live reading of her story, “The Shipping Forecast,” which was a poignant moment. Quiet, moving and a little hypnotic, it reminded everyone why storytelling is an art form in itself. At Ebow, we believe in supporting creativity that inspires trust and truth. Radio MoLI embodies these values: thoughtful, intelligent, and deeply human. It’s a partnership we’re proud of and one that speaks to our commitment to quality content, culture, and community. We believe in the power of storytelling, and in platforms that help people see the world with clarity and curiosity.

Of course, no Ebow evening would be complete without mentioning Sharon, our fearless leader, who brought her trademark calm and style to the occasion. As the event wound down and guests lingered with drinks in MoLI’s stunning exhibition spaces, it was clear that this wasn’t just a celebration — it was a reminder that storytelling still has the power to make us stop scrolling and start feeling.

We left MoLI feeling proud, inspired and grateful. Grateful for great company, great conversation, and a shared belief that truth and creativity matter now more than ever.
Here’s to Radio MoLI, and to more nights that remind us why we create: to connect, to listen, and to tell stories that stay with you long after the last note fades.
